Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to SRD reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance stage designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing here of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
